Tips to Get Comfortable with Technology

  • Start small. Choose one thing you want to learn—like sending a text or using YouTube.
  • Write things down. Take notes during class or when someone helps you. Keep a “tech notebook.”
  • Practice regularly. Repetition helps. Set aside 10–15 minutes a day to practice.
  • Ask for help. Your children, grandchildren, or neighbors may be happy to show you.
  • Stay patient. Everyone learns at their own pace, and it’s okay to ask questions more than once.
  • You’re Not Alone

Hundreds of seniors across El Paso are learning to navigate the digital world—and you can too. Whether you want to stream music, look up a recipe, or FaceTime your grandkids, help is just around the corner. With a little time and a few friendly guides, technology can become your new best friend.
