Finding the right home health care in El Paso can be confusing, but there are multiple home care providers who ensure you or your loved one get nothing but the best care needed. Seniors Helping Seniors - The Borderland is one such home health care provider with a twist.

This provider focuses on assisting seniors to comfortably live in their homes with the proper assistance. Seniors Helping Seniors is different in that they employ younger active seniors to help those seniors who need help at home and provide them with the ideal companionship and care. Let's look at this new home health care business in East El Paso to help you make an informed decision.

The Beginning of the Journey
Seniors Helping Seniors - The Borderland was established by Yvonne and Mike Mercadel, who have always been passionate about serving seniors in the community and giving back to their country. They have completed 50 years of combined service in the Navy as commissioned officers.

Yvonne grew up in Socorro and wanted to open a YMCA or Boys and Girls Club in the community. As they started to work out the financial resources, Mike's father had a few falls and was hospitalized, and his mother was diagnosed with Dementia. They moved them into a small casita built next to their home and realized they required in-home care to help them with some of their Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).

They started looking for franchise opportunities and came upon Seniors Helping Seniors®. Yvonne and Mike had a recent experience with Mike's parents and were familiar with the struggles families go through when providing care for their loved ones. Moreover, there is a large community of veterans in El Paso, and since the couple are both veterans, they saw this as an excellent opportunity to serve the veterans and the seniors.

Yvonne and Mike partnered with Seniors Helping Seniors® to meet their goals and core values in providing the seniors in El Paso with the best home care help.
